Anxiety Symptoms-The Physiological, Psychological and Emotional Areas
Anytime we talk about anxiety symptoms, it's important to understand that millions of people deal with this issue. The three obstacles that they must overcome are the physiological, psychological, and emotional symptoms. Each one of them comes from excessive worrying, unrealistic fears, or even persistent irrational thoughts.
When you have to deal with this day in and day out, it's extremely challenging. The most important thing you can do is learn to cope with the stress that occurs from all the worrying, fear, and racing thoughts. So today we're going to talk about each specific area and try to help you control each one better. In order to do this you have to understand each one.
Physiological Anxiety Symptoms
Dealing with the physiological simply means we are talking about the physical symptoms that occur when dealing with anxiety. If you notice one or several of this surfacing, you could be dealing with anxiety.
Gastrointestinal Problems- Dealing with issues like diarrhea, constipation, ulcers, swelling, or other problems can come about when you have anxiety. It can be so bad that you develop celiac disease.
Headaches- While a headache here and there doesn't necessarily mean these are anxiety symptoms; they are common parts to this disorder. However, there are different forms of headaches that can surface. You can develop tension based headaches, migraines, cluster headaches, hormone induced headaches, and several others that may form. In order to get away from these, you usually have to look at OTC medicine or aromatherapy.
Breathing- You have probably heard of the person who hyperventilates when they deal with anxiety, but there are others. The simple shortness of breath, wheezing, apnea and more serious complications can occur.
Muscles- Do you ever feel your muscles tense up or cramp on a continuous basis? This is one of the overlooked anxiety symptoms out there. You could also notice weakness, pain, or loss of control of your muscles as well. These are hard to deal with because they come out of nowhere.
Chest & Heart- Over time your anxiety symptoms can also reach the chest and heart area. The usual feeling of tightness and pain will be present, but if you don't diminish this issue it can turn into more serious problems. Two notable problems are the drops in blood pressure and irregular heartbeats.
Psychological Anxiety Symptoms
When you deal with the psychological anxiety symptoms they are hard to control. The thoughts of fear, worrying, and everything else involved is simply difficult to overcome. If you think this might pertain to you, here are a few common challenges you may find:
Obsessive Thoughts- When you deal with mental images, you tend to zone out for a bit. If this happens every once in awhile it's not something to worry about, but if it happens on a recurrent basis it's something to try and control. Whether you're constantly worried about the doors being locked or worrying over your performance at work, anything similar should be looked at accordingly.
Fear- Everyone deals with some sort of fear in their life, but those with anxiety symptoms have it occur much more often. Maybe you are trying to avoid situations from your past, frightened about the problems you will endure in the future, or any self-induced problems come from this obsessive state.
Memory- When you deal with this part of the anxiety symptoms, you won't be able to concentrate, and you will forget important facts, which both can be damaging to your career and family life. Once you mix in the constant confusion and inability to process information the right way, you could end up extremely irritated as a result.
Doom- This is part of the fear issues, and feeling that disaster is right around the corner.
Repressed Memories- A lack of memories can be emotional, psychological and physiological. However, they fall into this category, even though it can create other anxiety symptoms.
Emotional Anxiety Symptoms
Everything you see above is the most common anxiety symptoms found. If you are able to familiarize yourself with each one, you can start working on ways to overcome those you develop. Granted, when it comes to the emotional side most people believe this is the psychological area, but this is a unique entity. Two of the biggest experiences will revolve around depression and sadness.
If they disassociate themselves emotionally and physically, some of the areas will be unrealistic. The four emotional elements are fear, panic, terror, and bipolar. Whether it's you or someone you know who is dealing with these issues, you have to associate each one accordingly. Once you're able to do this you can start to overcome each one. In the end it will be easier to cope with your anxiety symptoms.
